You’ll be guided through cerebellar assessments to help identify your own “weak spots” and learn practical drills designed to help release tension, improve movement patterns, and restore confidence in your body.

Community Sunset Beach Yoga
Every Thu. starting 7/2 @ 6:30 - 7:30 pm:
Location: On the sand at Beach 126th St.
Join us this summer for our Community Sunset Beach Yoga series, beginning the first Thursday of July and continuing every Thursday at 6:30 PM on the sand at 126th Street, just down the block from our beautiful studio. This gentle evening practice is designed to help restore the body, quiet the mind, and bring you back into rhythm with nature. Each week, a different Ocean Bliss teacher will guide the practice, bringing their own unique energy, presence, and wisdom to the beach. As the day softens, we’ll slow down, release tension, and support the body’s natural circadian rhythm before rest. Come as you are and let the beach hold you.
Jennifer Kelleher (@jenkelleherwellness) will be teaching July 2nd. For full schedule, check the bulletin outside the studio, Instagram, and the Workshops page of our website.
Please bring a towel to practice on, an extra layer in case it gets cool, and a water bottle if you’d like. This class is a community offering. Donations are accepted, and all are welcome.

Sunday sancturay: community reiki circle
Sun. 7/5 @ 12:15 - 1:30 pm:
Every month this past year, Sunday Sanctuary has brought Reiki peace of mind and body to communities throughout the peninsula. On July 5th, it comes to Ocean Bliss in Belle Harbor.
Join us and other peace seekers and nature lovers there for the “restorative interlude” described by Dan Guarino of The Rockaway Times as Reiki in Rockaway.
The circle will gather over Jamaica Bay in the airy comfort of Jennifer Kelleher’s aptly named Ocean Bliss studio. We are so happy and honored to participate with Jennifer, the Ocean Bliss community, and its wonderful contribution of wellbeing to Rockaway.
Here are some details of what to expect in Sunday Sanctuary sessions.
An easy flow of:• Gentle greetings and intentions
• Inspiring theme of the day
• Guided visualization into expansive peace and beauty
• Reiki Healing by practitioners with advanced qualifications
• A natural flow into stillness
Doors open at 12:15 pm. Please enter and leave in silence, allowing the relaxation to steep in your system. The session is typically 60 minutes.
This is a community event that takes place the first Sunday of each month. Donations are accepted and not necessary.
Each of our neighbors brings so much to the circle with their good intentions and reverence for our unique coastal community and the inspiration of the sea.
Come for the peace of your mind and body, and for the wellbeing of our community. No experience necessary, come as you are. With love,
Your neighbors,
Elsie Maio, Dana Humphrey, and the Sunday Sanctuary Dream Team

Expect thoughtful sequencing, clear technique, and a strong, steady burn that leaves you feeling energized, centered, and ready for the day ahead. Whether you’re heading to work, easing into a summer day in Rockaway, or simply carving out time for yourself before the world gets loud, this class is a beautiful way to begin.

MURF x Ocean Bliss x Baya Bar: Conditioning, Recovery + Smoothies
Sun. 7/12 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm:
Location: Ocean Bliss Yoga Studio
Post-class: Panino Baya Bar on 129th Street
Join us for a special community collaboration between MURF, Ocean Bliss Yoga, and Baya Bar— bringing together strength, cardio, recovery, and post-class nourishment.
We’ll begin at Ocean Bliss Yoga Studio with Alexey Bushuyev of MURF, a fitness professional with over 23 years of experience specializing in athletic performance, strength training, and nutrition. Alexey will lead a 45-minute conditioning class designed to build strength, cardiovascular endurance, core stability, and total-body tone through a mix of bands, light weights, bodyweight exercises, and higher-intensity movement. Modifications will be offered throughout, making the class accessible while still challenging.
After conditioning, Jennifer Kelleher of Ocean Bliss will guide a 45-minute sports recovery yoga class designed to help the body stretch, release, downshift, and recover with intention. This practice will support mobility, flexibility, breath, nervous system regulation, and the kind of deep recovery that helps us move better, train smarter, and feel more balanced.
This workshop is rooted in the belief that a strong body needs more than one kind of movement. Strength and cardio build power, endurance, and resilience. Yoga and recovery support longevity, mobility, and connection to the body. Together, they create a more complete approach to wellness.
Whether you usually spend more time in the gym and want to experience the benefits of yoga, or you spend most of your time on the mat and want to bring more strength and conditioning into your routine, this class is for you.
After class, we’ll continue the morning at Baya Bar, just a few blocks away, where they’ll be offering two signature event smoothies: an Ocean Bliss Smoothie and a MURF Smoothie. Participants will receive 10% off their order that day.
All are welcome. Must pre-register.

Soulful Sunday: Ground & Gather
Wed. 7/22 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm:
Your Journey to Headstand is a workshop designed to help you build the strength, awareness, and trust needed to explore inversions in a safe and supportive way. Whether you are completely new to headstands or looking to deepen your practice, this experience will break the pose down step by step through alignment work, core and shoulder strengthening, mobility drills, and techniques to safely enter and exit the pose.
In yoga, inversions are often seen as an opportunity to shift perspective, quiet external noise, and reconnect inward. Headstand stimulates the third eye space— the center associated with intuition, clarity, and inner wisdom— inviting us to cultivate deeper trust in ourselves both on and off the mat.
Together, we will move through the fears, frustration, playfulness, and breakthroughs that naturally arise when learning something new. My intention is to create a grounded and encouraging environment where you can challenge yourself, stay curious, and honor your own unique journey.

SOULFUL SUNDAY
Yoga for Everyday Life
Wed. 7/29 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm: A group energy healing through intention, sound, and guided visualization meditation
This month at Ocean Bliss, we are exploring the theme of Radiance— the light that naturally shines through us when the body softens, the mind quiets, and our energy is no longer blocked or dimmed.
Join Jen for a deeply restorative sound bath designed as a full-body chakra cleanse. We’ll begin with gentle guided relaxation inspired by Yoga Nidra to help the nervous system settle, and the body fully receive. From there, you’ll be guided through each of the seven chakras while immersed in the healing vibrations of crystal bowls, chimes, and other sacred sound instruments.
This practice will include optional gentle toning and seed sounds to help clear and awaken the energy centers, with special attention to the throat chakra— the place of voice, truth, expression, and resonance. When the throat is blocked, our light can feel held back. Through breath, sound, vibration, and stillness, we’ll create space for your inner radiance to move more freely.
Inspired by subtle energy work, sacred geometry, and the body’s natural ability to harmonize, this evening is an invitation to clear what feels heavy, reconnect with your own frequency, and rest in the light of who you truly are.
No experience is necessary. Come as you are, dress comfortably, and allow yourself to receive. All are welcome. Must pre-register.
