A Blissful Life 7/1/25: When One Chapter Closes, Another Begins

There is a unique tenderness in the moments when one chapter ends and another begins. It’s a bittersweet kind of beauty... one that holds both the ache of goodbye and the thrill of what’s next. I’ve been sitting in that space lately, heart full and open, as I reflect on the incredible journey of leading my first Yoga Teacher Training at Ocean Bliss Yoga.

For months, I poured my heart into this offering. It wasn’t just a course, it was a dream realized. One that had lived inside me for quite some time, quietly waiting for the right time to unfold. And when it did, it came to life in the most magical way. Nine extraordinary women stepped into the space with courage, curiosity, and a willingness to dive deep– not only into the study of yoga, but into themselves. Together, we created something sacred. A community. A container. A chapter. That chapter may be coming to a close, but what we built is evolving, not ending, as each of us carries it forward on our own path, forever connected by the community we created.

There’s a deep sense of pride in that. The kind that lands in the body with quiet confidence... not loud or boastful, but grounded and real. I’m proud of what I created, proud of the way I led, and proud of each of the women who stepped into this training and transformed before my eyes. They trusted me, they trusted themselves, and they did the work.

But, endings are rarely clean. They come with echoes. A soft sadness lingers, not because anything went wrong, but because something so beautiful simply had to end. That’s the thing about creating something from your soul. It’s both deeply fulfilling and deeply vulnerable. You give it everything, and then you let it go.

And yet, even within the closing, there’s a whisper of something new. A door gently creaks open. I can feel it in my chest... a hum, a spark, a quiet knowing that I’m on the right path. That all of this– the long hours, the doubts, the joys, the growth– was leading me somewhere. This wasn’t just a training; it was a turning point. A moment where my purpose and my passion aligned.

There is nothing quite like that feeling of alignment. It doesn’t always come with clarity or a five-year plan. It doesn’t need to. It’s more of a sensation. A deep “yes” that reverberates through your bones. That’s what this ending has given me: a reminder that I am where I’m supposed to be. And that even as I grieve the closing of this sacred chapter, I can trust that what’s ahead is equally full of magic.

Beginnings carry their own kind of energy. They’re alive with possibility. They ask us to dream again, to create again, to risk again. And maybe that’s what makes them so powerful. They’re blank pages, but we’re not the same people holding the pen. We’ve changed, we’ve grown, we’ve learned– and from that place, we get to write what’s next.

So as I close this chapter, with all its beauty, sweat, laughter, and transformation, I do so with deep gratitude. And as I step into what’s next, I carry the lessons, the love, and the quiet power that comes from following a dream to completion.

To anyone standing at the edge of an ending, take a moment to honor it. Feel it. Grieve it if you need to. And then, when you’re ready, lift your gaze to the horizon. A new chapter is waiting, and you are ready to begin again.
